If you visit Storkow (Mark) Castle, you'll find the Visitor Center (BIZ) of the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park. In the exhibition, you can discover the natural and cultural history of the region on three levels – the tour begins with the Ice Age and continues to the present day. Historical illustrations and maps await you on the top floor, giving you an insight into the castle's origins. The event series "You and Your Garden in the Nature Park" is particularly exciting, where experienced instructors show you how to care for your garden, make medicinal herbal ointments, or learn more about the garden's animal inhabitants. The staff at the tourist information center have many tips for excursions and discovery tours for you – whether you're traveling alone, with friends, or with family. You can find more information and opening hours here: https://www.dahme-heideseen-naturpark.de/erleben-lernen/info-ausstellung/besucherzentrum-burg-storkow.

The manor house of the former Selchow manor is registered under the name "Landhaus Selchow" in the list of monuments of the state of Brandenburg; in recent times (as of 2013) it is increasingly referred to as "Schloss Selchow". The manor house was built in 1913 by the architect Alfred Breslauer for the banker Paul Mankiewitz.[12] The neo-baroque plastered building with a three-axis central projection is located under a hipped mansard roof in a two-hectare garden. After Paul Mankiewitz died on his Selchow estate in 1924, the house went to his sons. During the Nazi era, the Jewish Mankiewitz family was forced to sell the estate and emigrated to Argentina and Great Britain. During the GDR era, it first housed an LPG, then the Konsum, then a bank and finally the children's holiday camp of the Eisenhüttenstadt meat combine. The house has been empty since 1991 and was recently dilapidated. In 2012, it was purchased by Christoph Kamps, who runs a brand communication agency in Berlin and New York, and his wife Susanne Groß, an actress at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin. Since 2013, the couple has been having the complex renovated and restored using their own and EU funds under the name "Selkow Castle". The new owners want to make the house accessible to the public as a cultural and event venue. For example, cycling groups, yoga courses and workshops are planned. The investment is not aimed at making a profit; rather, the owners say they want to make a piece of history come alive again and bring people who care about nature and sustainability a little closer to nature. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selchow_(Storkow_(Mark))

Away from the hustle and bustle on the northern edge of the Spreewald, Gut Kossenblatt is picturesquely located on the Schlossspree next to the church and Kossenblatt Castle. The manor house houses the restaurant/café with beer garden and offers the opportunity to stay overnight in the cozy and individually designed rooms in a historical ambience. Events take place regularly on the estate and at Kossenblatt Castle. The community's official wedding room is located in the castle itself. The neighboring church and the wedding room together with the estate form a perfect ensemble for weddings. Our rooms are also suitable for all types of events, celebrations, seminars and conferences.

Today, the baroque Kossenblatt Castle stands on the site of a medieval moated castle. Field Marshal and Minister J. A. Reichsgraf von Barfuß had the castle built between 1699 and 1712. However, the field marshal died before the castle was completed and his wife, née Eleonore Countess von Dönhoff, had the castle completed. Theodor Fontane wrote down numerous legends surrounding the family and its wealth. In 1736, King Friedrich Wilhelm I acquired the castle as a retirement home, but only stayed there for a few months until his death in 1740. In the following years the owners of the castle changed frequently and in 1967 the castle was finally restored. The castle is currently privately owned.
