It's this silent expanse that suddenly envelops you when you emerge from Kuhlhausen onto the asphalt strips that stretch straight across the flat land. Grain to the left, corn to the right – in between: just you, your bike, and the wind. A path seemingly out of time, lined with apple trees, overflown by crows, and carried by the silence that only summer knows. You don't have to arrive here. Here you can simply ride. Straight ahead, accompanied by the rustling of the grass, the creaking of a tree stand that stands in the landscape like a warning observer. The fields breathe deeply, the light changes with the clouds, and sometimes, very rarely, someone drives towards you – a curt greeting, a knowing smile, and then continues on. It's the inconspicuous paths that tell the story of a landscape. And sometimes, its heartbeat too. This one is one of them.

On the Gollenberg, a large sculpture, the wind harp on the top of the mountain, and a memorial stone at the crash site commemorate the aviation pioneer. At the foot of the mountain, you can visit the Lady Agnes, an Ilyushin Il-62 long-range aircraft named after Lilienthal's wife. It serves as an exhibition space and registry office and has become a magnet for visitors since its spectacular landing on the runway of the Stölln gliding airfield in 1989.

The Brandenburg State Stud Neustadt (Dosse), founded in 1788, is one of the oldest state stud farms in the Federal Republic of Germany. It has been run as a foundation under public law since 2001. The Brandenburg Main and State Stud Neustadt (Dosse), founded in 1788, is one of the oldest state stud farms in the Federal Republic of Germany. The foundation's tasks include carrying out the tasks assigned under state law, particularly in the area of horse breeding, preserving the cultural and historical heritage, promoting measures in the general interest, tourism as a component of regional development as well as restoration, care and preservation of the listed stud farms.

The Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm II (1744/1786–1797) had two stud farms built near Neustadt an der Dosse in 1788 “for the best in the country”. The stud farm is self-sufficient with its 400 hectares of paddocks, meadows and arable land. In addition to keeping mares and stallions, it has an EU insemination station, a stallion testing institute (since 1978) and an FN riding school. In addition, the stud's own horses enable students who attend the Neustädter Prinz von Homburg School to take the elective subject of riding. Since 2001, the Brandenburg Main and State Stud has been run as a foundation under public law.

Wusterhusen was first mentioned in a document in 1232.

A Romanesque parish church was built on this site in the 13th century and today's magnificent church was built with money from the salt monopoly in the 15th century.
