The Cathedral of St. Stephen and St. Sixtus in Halberstadt, a cruciform basilica built in the northern French Gothic style from the 13th to the 15th century, which today serves as a Protestant church, is considered one of the few large church buildings of the French cathedral scheme in Germany. It is located in the middle of an ensemble of Romanesque, Baroque, Neo-Gothic and modern buildings on the edge of the historic center of the city in the northern Harz foothills. It was badly damaged in the air raids on Halberstadt in the Second World War. It is owned by the Saxony-Anhalt Cultural Foundation. Source: Wikipedia
