At a good 40 meters above sea level and directly on the banks of the Elbe River, a high medieval residential tower, the Klutturm, stands, and right next to it a neo-Gothic castle. These are the remains of the former castle complex and later the Rogätz manor.

The Rogätz ferry costs 2.50 euros for one person with a bicycle. It runs from May to September, Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The ferry has a lunch break from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. The last crossing before the break is at 11:45 a.m. You can find more information at: http://www.faehre-rogaetz.de/

The Klutturm in Rogätz stands at the mouth of the Ohre into the Elbe

In 1801 the Prussian milestone was erected on the road between Rogätz and Sandkrug. This whole milestone indicated the distance of 4 miles from the zero point on the Alter Markt in Magdeburg. This renovated stone has been standing here in Rogätz since November 2021.
