The Eisenberg is a must for me when I hike here. The Eisenberg always looks clean and well-kept. It is also one of the few mountains with a cross.

Built by students of the forestry school that used to be in Schwarzburg. A nice place to rest and look towards the mountain spur on which Schwarzburg Castle is enthroned. Heinrich Cotta is also remembered here. He excelled as a forest scientist and is the founder of the Forest Academy in Tharandt, Saxony, which is still recognized worldwide today.
