The cycle path from the Hirschthal junction to Lembach along the Sauer is very beautiful.

Lembach plays an important role in the history and culture of the Sauer Valley. The small town in the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park is home to major works such as the Maginot Line lime kiln, the famous Fleckenstein castle, its tile factory and its mill. A must-see visit to understand the history of the valley.

The Fleckenstein is a very beautiful swimming pond. It is also possible to eat at the restaurant next to the beach. Entrance is free and you can have a large free car park right next to it.

Jaegerthal is the home of the famous French industrialist family de Dietrich, who acquired the iron hammer in 1684. A stream there - the Schwarzbach - triggered a major industrialization.
