The ruins of Ravensburg, also called Rabensburg in the oldest records, are a castle ruin from the Staufer period south of Thüngersheim in Franconia.

A true insider tip among Franconian wine regions is the wine-growing landscape on the steps of the wavy limestone in the Stettener Stein vineyard near Karlstadt. The view into the Main wine valley demonstrates how wonderfully the wine shapes the landscape. The view extends as far as Würzburg and far into the Spessart. At the same time, this terroir demonstrates the great importance of the Main for viticulture. With its raging water power, the river laid the foundations for the great vineyards of Franconian wine a good 2 million years ago and literally shaped the wine-growing landscape of the steep slopes. Another special feature is the great diversity of plants and animals on the Franconian dry grasslands. Therefore, the viewing platform "floats" above the ground to protect this biodiversity.

The Main Lock in Himmelstadt is one of 37 locks on the 400 km long, fully canalized stretch of the Main River between Mainz and Bamberg. It was built between 1935 and 1937 and opened in 1940. The lock chamber holds 17,000 m³ of water and is 300 m long and 12 m wide. In approximately 10 minutes, ships overcome a water level difference of up to 4.3 meters. Karlstadt is the district seat of the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart and is located approximately 30 kilometers north of Würzburg in the Main Franconian wine-growing region. The first mention of Karlburg in 742 is directly related to the founding of the Diocese of Würzburg. Around 1202, the settlement of Karlstadt, located near Karlburg, was founded by Bishop Konrad von Querfurt. The exact founding date is unknown.
