In the summer, a SunDowner event takes place here every two Wednesdays. It's a lovely way to watch the sun set over the lake while enjoying a bratwurst and a spritzer or a wheat beer.

Great water quality, nice bathing beach. The beach bar with a tropical ambience is open (as of summer 2023) when the weather is good. The beautiful paths on the neighboring Altrhein offer a special nature experience.

This is the smaller, more accessible lake that emerged after the basalt quarries near Forst were abandoned in the 1980s. Today it's a nature reserve, so you'd better avoid swimming here. It's definitely worth seeing.

The Ungeheuersee in the Leininger Sporn, part of the northeastern Palatinate Forest, is a shallow pond that is fed by the Krumbach. The lake has been protected as a natural monument since the 1930s. It has been listed in the official register since 1971 with the list number ND-7332-195. A great destination. An old quarry and a small lake provide a great backdrop.

Beautiful lake in the forest, with ice cold water, as the name suggests. You can swim here in summer, but your four-legged friends are only allowed in certain months (nature and bird sanctuary). There is also a great fish farm and gastronomy. Some circular hiking trails start from there.

Very nice destination for bikers and hikers. Beautiful lake with a beach and restaurant. The fish dishes are highly recommended. But you also get simple things. Nice trail through the forest ....
