The near goal is the "Monster Lake" - a high moor lake with rare orchids and cotton grass on its small floating islands in the middle of the Palatinate Forest. The information boards offer interesting information for young and old. Very nicely laid out!

On the boards you can find out all sorts of interesting facts about the Ungeheuersee biotope.

Located directly on the Ungeheuersee, very large outdoor area. When I'm there it's always closed.... I've never seen the hut in use (there are probably only a few days a week here) Managed by the PWV, it will probably be difficult to find volunteers?!?!?! But if you are self-sufficient, you will always find plenty of seating here for a picnic.
