Battenberg is the ruins of a hilltop castle in the Leininger Sporn on the edge of the Palatinate Forest. It is located on the edge of the local community of the same name in the Bad Dürkheim district (Rhineland-Palatinate) and is one of the three castles on the upper Eckbach that date back to the early days of the Leininger family.
