The ascent to the Buchberg summit is a bit strenuous but definitely worth it. Fantastic vision, in clear weather up to the Alps.

The Amalienruhe, an idyllic vantage point on the Schluchsee shore, enchants with a beautiful lake panorama. A romantic "Bellevue Pavilion" was built on this characteristic rocky outcrop when tourism at Schluchsee was still in its infancy. The Amalienruhe is located directly on the circular lake trail and rewards all hikers and walkers with an impressive all-round view of a wonderfully harmonious Black Forest landscape. Wonderful view of almost the entire Schluchsee.

The ensemble of the Burgmühle and the old, decaying turbine house unfolds a special flair for hikers who pass here along the Gauchach. The old walls appear dark and deserted, but there is a lot of life and activity here. Then, when the castle mill works, offers cakes and drinks. A wonderful place for a break, to let what you have experienced sink in the gorge while having a refreshment.
