Definitely worth taking a break in Nienburg on the Weser cycle path. The market square is really idyllic, but the rest of the town is also worth seeing.

In 2008 the Nienburg weekly market was named "Europe's most beautiful weekly market" by the Lebgendige Stadt Foundation. It is a green market in the heart of the old town. More than 60 traders from the region supply the market with fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, sausage and fish, plants and baked goods.
