Hohnstedt (also Honstedt, Honstede, Hostede or similar) is the name of an extinct noble family from Lower Saxony. The family is to be distinguished from the unrelated Mansfeld noble family Hohnstedt, which has a different coat of arms. Unfortunately, you can't get directly to the water because it's fenced off for agricultural use. But you still get a nice view of the line.

This is a lovely place to look over the Leine. The path is very pleasant for cycling. Unfortunately, I couldn't get directly to the water because the bank was completely fenced off.
