Bursfelde Monastery had a major impact on European monastic life with its reforms in the 15th century and therefore has a great history! The complex, parts of which have been preserved today, is particularly impressive with the Romanesque basilica of St. Thomas and St. Nicholas. Definitely worth seeing!

Beautiful little ferry that we always enjoyed using to cross the Weser on our bike tour. You can also have a lovely rest on the ferry.

There is always something going on here. The bakery on the corner is also open on Sundays and there is also a bratwurst stand.

Also a wonderful place to take a break and watch the ferry service. But it's always nice to cross over by ferry.
