A hiking trail that couldn't have been more beautiful... and apart from a few corners... everything was easy going

The pilgrimage church of the Holy Trinity is the landmark of Gößweinstein. This monumental church, whose two towers majestically greet the country, together with its pilgrimage forms the religious center of Franconian Switzerland. Thousands of pilgrims come to this place of worship every year. In addition, the basilica is the destination of many art lovers and tourists. After all, the church, built between 1730 and 1739, is one of the most important creations of late Baroque architecture in Franconia and is considered a sacred masterpiece by the great architect Balthasar Neumann.

Romantic, daring and different around every corner.

A sensational area. There is so much to explore. The shapes of the rocks are so versatile. With some you almost hold your breath and think stay where you are and don't fall over.

A beautiful rocky path leads along the water from Pottenstein to the Teufelshöhle.

Very nice, narrow path interspersed with boulders along above the Teufelsee.

Absolutely worth seeing basilica and always the highlight of a visit to Gößweinstein. In the immediate vicinity of the landmark of Gößweinstein, in the "Holy District", a pilgrimage museum was also opened in 2008.

Even if the grille is bent, it was not attached here for nothing. You shouldn't enter the "cave".
