The Dragoon Peak is about 530 meters above sea level. From here you have a wonderful view of the Deichselbach valley around Frankenberg and various rocks. Mountain biking is a must in the district of Bamberg.

The Malmkuppe des Amstlings was not previously wooded. Due to decades of non-cultivation, the formerly grazed meadows are becoming more and more bushy and a mixed forest has developed. For about 15 years, the forest has been pushed back again by landscape conservation measures and so orchid-rich calcareous grasslands have developed, which are not only typical of Franconian Switzerland, but also house a species-rich fauna and flora.
