The valley of the wild Endert is fantastically beautiful to hike. Countless impressions have to be taken in. Even if you think you already know some of it, you will immediately discover something new. Nature, birdsong, the softly gurgling Endert and how she moves through the narrow valley. Islands in the stream bed, quaint, rooted, rocky paths, sometimes so narrow directly between the house or rocks and Endert that you have to walk carefully. With bridges, the side of the route changes again and again. Uniquely beautiful.

The Endert hiking trail from Ulmen to Cochem is 20 km long and conveys an unimaginably wide range of impressions, but not in the way of the 115 photos published here. The creativity of the supposed photographer leaves a lot to be desired; always the same objects, no variety. As I already said, the objects are available in such a variety that one could have taken 115 completely different photos. But that requires a certain amount of creativity.

Picturesquely overlooked by the two castle ruins of Löwenburg and Philippsburg, the half-timbered village of Monreal lies in the middle of the idyllic Elz Valley. Three stone bridges lead over the Elz in the village, of which the middle bridge is decorated with the statue of John of Nepomuk and the lion monument, unique in the Rhineland. The numerous half-timbered houses from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries - a remnant of the cloth makers of the Baroque period - are also art monuments worth seeing. Visitors also encounter the Middle Ages, for example in the parish church from the 13th century or the cemetery chapel from the 12th century. The history of Monreal, with its numerous ups and downs, reflects the historical development of the entire Eifel. Very beautiful bridge over the Elzbach in Monreal. The bridge is the middle of three historic stone bridges in the town. On the bridge is the impressive sight from the 15th century, the Lion Monument. The four lions carved in basalt are among the most important monuments of their kind in the Rhineland due to their uniqueness. On the other side of the bridge is the statue of John of Nepomuk, who also gave the bridge its name "John's Bridge". Beautiful!
