Lake Bremervörde 💙 is absolutely spectacular and highly recommended 👍🏻. Hiking and cycling tours are possible here, or you can simply enjoy a stroll. There are public restrooms at the campervan site. A restaurant, a snack bar, and a mini-golf course are available. The mini-golf course is located right next to the kiosk. There's also a boat rental and a very nice, interesting children's playground. On hot days, it's advisable to bring a change of clothes for the children. There are play areas with water features. You can learn a lot about nature 💚 – it's beautiful. There are also plenty of seating areas around the lake, so you can take a break at any time. Many events take place at Lake Bremervörde 💙. You can find information online. A visit to Vörder See is recommended at any time of year 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.

Bremervörde Harbor is located at the end of the Oste federal waterway at kilometer 0.2 LU. (The signage currently still shows the old value of kilometer 8.65.) From the Elbe near Neuhaus, the Oste River flows for approximately 68 kilometers through green marshland, with numerous curves. A pleasant cruise takes in numerous towns and boat docks. At high tide, Bremervörde Harbor can be reached in approximately 6 hours. Excellent restaurants and a variety of shopping opportunities are located near the well-equipped harbor and in the city center. Entry to Bremervörde Harbor is only possible at high tide (up to 1.70 m draft). The harbor does not dry out; only at the entrance does the water depth reach approximately 0.60 m at low tide.

Heidjer Bridge Year of construction of the first bridge: 1984 Replacement construction in: 2023 Total span: 74.4 m The "Heidjer Bridge" is part of the road connection between the Zevener Sonnenkamp and the town of Offensen. It spans the Oste lowland in the area of a historic ford at the same location. The first permanent bridge connection at this location was built in 1984, the so-called "Heidjer Bridge". Due to the poor structural condition and the first bridge structure, the municipality of Heeslingen and the city of Zeven built a joint replacement construction in 2023. For this purpose, they received grants to promote integrated rural development (ZILE) from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.

Small harbor that you should like to look at

For me, locks themselves are not particularly nice to look at. This lock, seen from the bridge, embedded in the forest, with the water in front of it, this lock and its surroundings are a special highlight.

The bridge over the Oste has something nostalgic about it. It is made entirely of wood. Is dilapidated, but will be renewed soon. Fits well in this beautiful nature on the Oste. October 24, 2022: So far, the bridge has only been repaired in a makeshift manner. I hope the new bridge, when it comes, will fit into the landscape just as well as the old bridge.

The "Vorwerkbrücke" pedestrian bridge connects the Auepark at Bremervörde Castle with the Vorwerk forest. There are many opportunities to run on both sides.
