The Kohlberg (632 m above sea level) south of Arzberg is also called the Sugarloaf. The 32 m high Waldenfelswarte observation tower offers a wonderful view of the surrounding area. Binoculars and panoramic overviews that can be used free of charge help with orientation. The Waldenfelswarte is the highest observation tower in the Fichtel Mountains.

The natural monument (723 meters high) is easily accessible via a staircase. During Advent, the forest Christmas takes place here with numerous visitors.

The covered wooden bridge over the Ohře, designed according to a historical model, allows pedestrians and cyclists to get from the city to the Krajinka sports and leisure area. It was also a main access point to the Marktredwitz-Cheb State Garden Show in 2006, the first Bavarian State Garden Show to be organized across the border with the Czech neighbors.

One of the Stiftland's landmarks and an important baroque circular building stands on a hill three kilometers from Waldsassen. This impressive building was built here on the 628 meter high Glasberg by Georg Dientzenhofer between 1685 and 1689. The special architecture and furnishings of the Kappl symbolize the Holy Trinity.

The impressive rock castle is probably one of the most beautiful rocks in the Steinwald and is easy to climb via stairs. In December, the granite group is also an atmospheric setting for the forest Christmas. The rock is a popular photo motif and an easily accessible hiking and cycling destination.
