Beautifully laid out cycle path on the former railway line Nabburg - Schönsee. No particular gradients.

Really nice long-distance cycle path in good condition

Super nice cycle path almost into the Czech Republic.

At the former train station in Oberviechtach there is a historic technical treat - not just for railway enthusiasts. One of the oldest Hanomag locomotives still preserved in the world has found its well-deserved resting place in an architecturally exceptionally successful "glass locomotive shed". The B-coupler, i.e. two axles, was built in the Hanomag works in 1899 under the number 3427. Its design corresponds to the first Bockerln that served on the Nabburg-Oberviechtach-Schönsee railway line from 1904 onwards.

The Bavarian-Bohemian Friendship Trail is a railway cycle path on a varied route along the former Nabburg-Schönsee railway line. You cycle comfortably, without any major climbs, through beautiful forests, past mystical rocks and along meandering rivers and streams. Relaxation and enjoyable cycling in the varied natural and cultural landscapes of this beautiful region.

Beautiful rock formation and a great view, a trip to the Burgstall is worth it.
