The Bavarian-Bohemian Friendship Trail is a railway cycle path on a varied route along the former Nabburg-Schönsee railway line. You cycle comfortably, without any major climbs, through beautiful forests, past mystical rocks and along meandering rivers and streams. Relaxation and enjoyable cycling in the varied natural and cultural landscapes of this beautiful region.

This beautiful cycle path with natural surface in the Upper Palatinate Forest leads from Wölsendorf to Schönsee on a former railway line. The gentle climbs from Niedermurach to Oberviechtach and from Gaisthal to Schönsee do not pose a great challenge. A short detour to the Murach castle ruins is difficult, but worth it. From Schönsee to Schwarzach, the cycle path leads along quiet side roads. Cycle from Stadlarn via Waldhäuser! There you pass the Hochfels. Definitely worth seeing!

After crossing the border, the cycle path to Bischofteinitz (Horšovský Týn) is marked as cycle path 2141. Unfortunately between the border and Pivon there are some toxic climbs. If you don't want to cross the border, drive from Schwarzach via Tiefenbach to Rötz and from there on the Schwarzachtalradweg (from a former railway line back to Wölsendorf.
