12월 28, 2024, Bodenmöser Nature Reserve
The main purpose of the nature reserve is to preserve the Bodenmöser as one of the largest examples of pre-alpine moor complexes with large-scale raised, intermediate and low moors and as part of a network with the pre-alpine moor landscapes. This includes in particular the protection of raised moor areas as well as litter, wet and wet meadows from intensification, drainage, marginal impairment and other uses that are detrimental to nature conservation. In addition to preserving the diversity of species and communities native to these moor habitats, suitable care and maintenance measures are intended to restore or improve the ecological value of habitats that have been impaired by human intervention or overuse in the past. The main purpose of the landscape conservation area is to preserve the grassland and forest belt that is naturally connected to the nature reserve as a buffer zone to avoid adverse effects on the nature reserve through disruptive changes to the environment that impair the natural balance or the landscape of the Isny Basin. It is a landscape of particular beauty and character, characterized by the alternation of large open grassland areas with forest and wooded streams, to safeguard the landscape and the recreational function. There are several moor and heath areas, the most important being Eisenhammermoos, Riedmüllermoos, Rotmoos and Hasenmoos. The rich flora and fauna of the Bodenmöser also includes rare species such as adders and marsh grasshoppers, and there are also bog trefoil and reed grass. Source: Wikipedia

As part of the Moore mit Stern project, which is made possible by a donation from Daimler AG, the Nature Conservation Association of Germany Baden-Württemberg wants to improve the condition of the Bodenmöser and Hinterzartener Moor in the Black Forest through renaturation. As part of the measures, drainage ditches have been blocked and non-native spruce trees have been felled since October 2015. Source: https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodenm%C3%B6ser

The Taufachmoos and Fetzachmoos area with Urseen is a nature reserve in the towns of Leutkirch im Allgäu and Isny im Allgäu in the district of Ravensburg, which was designated by the Tübingen regional council on June 23, 1982. According to the protection area ordinance, the main purpose of protection is “the preservation of the very original landscape shaped by the ice ages with the open water surfaces of the two primordial lakes, the dead ice holes in the earth moraine and the open and wooded raised moor areas as well as the many different transition stages from low moor to high moor. This largely intact habitat is of high ecological value, in which numerous rare plant and animal species have been able to survive. The protected area is a large moor complex, with high, transitional and low moors and moor forests. The Großer Ursee and the Kleiner Ursee in the west of the area and the Fetzachweiher in the north are the largest bodies of water. They are drained by the Fetzachgraben. Source: Wikipedia

Great butterflies and birds can be seen and heard everywhere. In addition to storks, the red-backed shrike has done it to me. So just walk slowly or stop and enjoy 😉

12월 5, 2021, Bodenmöser Nature Reserve
The Bodenmöser nature reserve was established to protect one of the largest examples of pre-alpine bog complexes. Numerous animals feel at home in the large raised, intermediate and low moors, and the diverse flora makes for a wonderful landscape. And if the area is covered by a thick layer of snow, then you can easily enjoy the silence while you trudge through the snow.

11월 27, 2021, Waldsee Lindenberg
The Waldsee in Lindenberg in the Allgäu is one of the highest German moor lakes (765.4 meters). The lake was dammed in the Middle Ages for fish farming and used to operate a sawmill from the mid-18th to the early 20th century. During this time the lake wore i.a. the name saw pond. In 1905, tourist development began with the construction of a bathing establishment and an inn, and in the 1920s the name was changed to Waldsee for better marketing. In 1952, the restaurant got its current appearance during the conversion to a hotel according to plans by Ernst Pfeiffer. Since then, there have been paintings about the history of Lindenberg in the guest rooms inside. Large parts of the shore were redesigned between 2006 and May 2008, replacing the old bathing facility on the north shore with a new building on the same site that is accessible free of charge. Since then, a moor nature trail around the lake has provided information about ecological and economic factors relating to the moor and the peat extraction that has been practiced here for a long time. As a peat extraction area, the Waasemoos around the Waldsee played an important role in the energy supply of Lindenberg's production companies for a long time. In addition, a bathing facility in Lindenberg used the water from the surrounding moor as healing water. Source: Wikipedia.
