The Iller Reservoir in Lautrach is home to 18 species of fish. Around 50 members of the Memmingen District Fishing Association fish here, maintaining the population through stocking, and have been doing so for decades. This means that the reservoir is also home to aquatic animals not normally found in drifting rivers, such as carp and tench.

There is good parking in front of the dam.

Beautiful landscape, picturesque location, diverse flora and fauna, such as waterfowl, kingfishers, forest animals, as well as good signage of the hiking trails and the circular tours can be shortened or extended at any time.

Many species of birds can be observed at this reservoir 🤩 and a small rest bench invites you to watch the hustle and bustle on the lake

sky pond A platform floating in the water moves when you step on it, allowing you to experience this element sensually together with the view of the pond. There is an opportunity to observe waterfowl. ATTENTION: Curious and sometimes aggressive big white pond guard who you can bribe with some bread!

The park is very spacious. It's great that the ammunition depot's old trees and topography have been retained.
