The Schnerzhofer pond was bought by the Schöffel family, a textile entrepreneur, and is used for pond farming. The pond is occasionally drained in winter. In summer, you can swim in the pond. There is also a small lawn with a toilet and a bathing jetty on the north bank. Despite the overflow gap being rebuilt in 2008 for half a million euros, the floodwaters washed over the top of the pond in June 2024.

Always beautiful on the Wertach even if it stinks sometimes :D

Great place that invites you to linger. The appropriate rest areas are available.

If you are coming from Tussenhausen, just don't drive up the mountain road. It lives up to its name. The further course of the cycle path towards Markt Wald is also not recommended. The terrain is quite rough

Even in winter when there is ice, you can occasionally see ice surfers

The cycle path always runs along the Wertach to Augsburg
