Concrete slabs are easy to ride. Road bikes aren't really suitable. Gravel is fine.

I camped here on my bikepacking trip. Beautiful location, well-maintained restrooms, small but nice. Friendly staff. €10 for an overnight stay is a great price.

The castle's special jewel can be admired in its ballroom. This is where people danced, dined and discussed politics. A lively red deer frieze from the time it was built has been preserved on the walls and the magnificent stucco ceiling is richly decorated with hunting scenes. The castle museum houses an extensive collection of important paintings, impressive sculptures and precious small art from the Middle Ages from Mecklenburg and northern Germany in the vaults in the basement. In the ducal rooms on the upper floors, the splendor of the former princely residence is brought back to life with paintings and handicraft objects from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, magnificent art chamber pieces and valuable hunting and ceremonial weapons.
