Field paths lead to the Gusenburg recreational area, which has a parking lot and a fishing hut. Several benches provide a place to rest by the large body of water.

3월 29, 2025, Nail Smithing Monument Gusenburg
On April 30, 2009, the Nailsmith Monument was unveiled on the newly designed village square on the main street. It commemorates the nailsmith trade that was widespread in Gusenburg until 1950. The monument was created by the artist Werner Bitzigeio from Winterspelt. Among other things, one can recognize a wheel with a dog driving a bellows, the various types of nails, and the typical nail anvil.

A few years ago beavers were spotted here again. Next to the habitat there is a nice little shelter that invites you to take a break and also offers an information board about beavers.

Small chapel on the service road to Grimburg. Inside is the biblical story of Jesus on the Mount of Olives. In 1930 the chapel was built by the Eiden family (Scholzen). The spot was not chosen by chance, because there was a cross here before the First World War. Source Database of Cultural Property

It is a nice varied round tour with beautiful distant views of the area. It's not too difficult either. I would do them again.

𝑫𝒊𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒍 The Wadrill rises under the name Osterbach in the Osburger Hochwald, and flows south of Wadern into the Prims. The place "Wadrill" owes its name to this brook. In a document from Archbishop Egbert of Trier, Wadrill is mentioned for the first time as "Waderola" in 981. The term “Waderola” means “water in a hurry” and goes back to pre-Celtic times and describes the stream flowing through the valley.
