Unlike Bol and Wandbühl, the Rainen is part of the Albtrauf, so that from the northwest it has a clearly visible steep flank several hundred meters high with scree slopes, which it shares with the Ortenberg. The path often runs along the edge of the cliff. There is usually a wider parallel path further inside.

Looks new and stable. To add to the fun, it swings a little at a maximum height of 6m. If you don't dare, the suspension bridge is easy to bypass

There is not much to see of the former castle. The numerous information boards give you a good insight into the history of Hohenberg Castle. Benches with a great view invite you to linger

The Hochberg is a 1008.9 m above sea level mountain on the southwestern edge of the Swabian Alb between Deilingen and Wehingen in Baden-Württemberg. The summit is in the district of the Deilingen district of Delkhofen. The Hochberg is the third highest mountain in the Swabian Alb after the Lemberg (1015.7 m above sea level) and the Oberhohenberg (1009.6 m above sea level) and belongs to the region of the ten thousand meters. Like the two closely neighboring mountains Lemberg in the south and Oberhohenberg in the north, the Hochberg lies on the European main watershed, which separates the catchment areas of the Rhine and Danube.
