There are numerous trails in the Ebersberg Forest

This avenue always gives me goosebumps. Absolutely beautiful old oak trees, each one with a sign bearing the names of fallen soldiers. When you look at how old these young men were, it makes me shudder.

The Ebersberg Forest offers a variety of beautiful trails, mostly quite rooty. There is something for everyone, you just have to find it.

In the Ebersberger Forest there is the so-called "Wildsau Trail" S1 - S2+. That's fun. However, you should bring a little experience with you. 👍😁

The Heldenallee in Ebersberg is a memorial for those who died in World War I from the Upper Bavarian town. It is located between the Klostersee and the observation tower on the Ludwigshöhe. After the First World War, Ebersberg suffered 84 casualties. Between 1929 and 1937, a linden tree was planted north of the city on the way to the Ludwigshöhe to commemorate each dead person. Each linden tree received a name tag for a fallen one. The order is chronological, according to the date of death, on the way from the city up to the Alm. The white boards with green roofs were last renewed in 1999. The letters are glued to make them more durable. The plaques are cleaned and repaired annually by the Ebersberg Soldiers' and Warriors' Association. Some trees had to be felled in the meantime. They were replaced by new plantings. Very nice natural outdoor pool with a great kiosk with a view of the lake. Friendly, good sound, sometimes live music or other events.
