A beautiful, rather isolated summit cross near Zwiesel. The climb is easy (even doable with children) and leads through wooded areas throughout. Wonderful in summer if you're looking for a more shady ascent route 😊

Too touristy for me personally due to the mountain railway and "objects of art". But it's a matter of taste and as long as there are other peaks that are as natural as possible, there are plenty of alternatives. ;) The Zwiesel or the Heigelkopf are actually only a stone's throw away but are already much calmer. The Blomberg west summit is privately owned and closed off, so it is not accessible.

Beautiful "plateau". Once you have reached the top, everything between Heigelkopf and Blomberghaus can be reached with a few meters of altitude.
