Vollerwiek에 있는 St. Martin 복음주의 교회는 2013년에 900주년 기념 행사가 있었던 Eiderstedt 반도의 6개 교회 중 하나입니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 St. Martin은 다른 5개의 오래된 교회에 비해 특별합니다. St. Martin 교회는 이미 광범위하게 개조 및 복원되었습니다. 마지막으로 2010년부터 2012년까지 진행되었습니다.

The salt marshes of St. Peter-Ording are a natural transition between land and sea. On one side is the mudflats, on the other side the dike and in between the salt marshes. The salt marshes of St. Peter-Ording are flooded by the sea, which is why a fluctuating and at times very high salt content only allows certain animals and plants to live. The closer the salt marshes are to the Wadden Sea, the more barren the landscape is and the fewer living creatures find a home there. Too often this zone is flooded for several hours, so that only two flowering plants can settle there. The salt marshes of St. Peter-Ording are a strictly protected habitat for around 50 species of birds and almost 2000 species of insects and beetles. Here they can nest, breed and live in peace. If you are interested in ornithology, then a guided tour through the salt marshes would be just the thing for you. You can observe the many different animals and plants in their special habitat very closely and also watch the birds breeding. Of course, you have to be very quiet so as not to disturb the natural silence and untouched nature.
