The castle complex, which developed from a kennel castle with an access gate, has a core castle with converging wings, outer bailey and considerable curtain walls. It is impressively visible from afar with its 30 meter high keep, the copper tower, with a base area of 9.8 × 9.8 meters with a wall thickness of 3.2 meters, which is square at the bottom and octagonal at the top, equipped with gun hatches.
