A nice restaurant with a terrace where you can sit, have something to drink and/or eat and enjoy the view. The restaurant also offers very tasty fries to go, which we took with us to the summit.

The journey on the Merkur mountain railway is not long, but you are rewarded with truly impressive views at the top! We leisurely strolled the last few meters up to the summit and enjoyed the view over the Rhine Valley and the Black Forest.

Great view over Baden-Baden, the surrounding Northern Black Forest, but also with a distant view over the Rhine plain to the Vosges and the Palatinate Forest.

Beautiful views in all directions

The Merkur mountain offers a wonderful panoramic view of Baden-Baden, the highest mountains in the northern Black Forest and the Murg valley with the towns of Gaggenau and Gernsbach can be seen, the view extends to the Upper Rhine plain, the Vosges, Haardt and Odenwald. In the field of view of the Merkur mountain are the Hohenbaden ruins, the Battertfelsen, the Alt-Eberstein castle ruins, the Fremersberg tower, the Yburg, the Badener Höhe and the Hornisgrinde as well as the major cities of Karlsruhe and Strasbourg.
