Here you can watch birds and take photos if you have a good camera with the right lens. The observation tower has 2 platforms - a small one and a large one. There is a garden bench on the large one. There are also some next to the tower. Some of the paths nearby are closed to people from March to the end of May.

The tower is officially called the “Himmelstreppe Observation Tower” and was built in 2008 by the Osterholz district (nature conservation authority) as part of the nature-friendly “Hammeniederung/Teufelsmoor” leisure trail network.
