🏰Eltz Castle is a hilltop castle from the 12th century. It is located at 129 m above sea level in the Elz valley🌊. Very beautiful bridge over the Elzbach in Monreal. The bridge is the middle of three historic stone bridges in the town. On the bridge is the impressive sight from the 15th century, the Lion Monument. The four lions carved in basalt are among the most important monuments of their kind in the Rhineland due to their uniqueness. On the other side of the bridge is the statue of John of Nepomuk, who also gave the bridge its name "John's Bridge". Beautiful!

Very nice path if you love a lot of panorama. Except for a small piece through the forest, you only go over spring. The castle is super beautiful, but there is an entrance fee and the inner area can only be viewed with a guided tour.
