The ruins of the Margarethen church are located at the foot of the Arnstein monastery mountain. As the mother church, it presided over 72 chapels and churches in the Taunus and Westerwald in the 10th century (Middle Ages). A short, narrow path leads directly behind the church to the monastery wall of the Arnstein monastery. If the path is too steep, take the road. There are parking spaces not only at the Klostermühle leisure center and Bible school and at the ruins of the Margarethen church, but also at the Arnstein monastery.

An absolute eye-catcher and the castle is being restored so we can hope for a reopening to the public.

Brunnenburg Abbey was at the beginning of the 13th century. was built by the Counts of Katzenelnbogen as a nunnery. mid 16th century but it was dissolved by the new owner, the Protestant landgrave Phillip von Hessen. Already at the end of the 16th century. the monastery had already been largely destroyed by demolition and building material. Today the plant is densely overgrown in the forest above the Lahn.

The ruin is privately owned. The castle was built in the early 14th century. Built by Archbishop Balduin of Trier to control and weaken the lords of Westerburg at Schaumburg Castle (now Schaumburg Castle). Since the 17th century it was left to decay and even temporarily demolished.

The ruins are located at the foot of the monastery hill of Arnstein Abbey near Obernhof in the Rhein-Lahn district in Rhineland-Palatinate. The parish church in honor of St. When the Arnstein monastery was founded, Margareta was the property of Count Ludwig von Arnstein. It was a monument of great structural interest from the 10th century or perhaps even earlier and the mother church of 72 daughter churches, say the historians. It had a bell tower with two bells. A relic of St. Anthony preserved. The precious relic (skullcap) of St. Pope's Fabian had been a carefully guarded abbey treasure for centuries. It is set in silver, like a bowl. In 1813, the Margaretenkirche was auctioned off to the highest bidder for 500 guilders. The new owner had everything usable ripped out and sold. Tower, gallery, organ and furnishings disappeared. The rest was left to decay. It has belonged to the state of Rhineland-Palatinate since 1949. Source: https://m.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.936224333191899.1073742185.124597204354620&type=3

The ruins of the Brunnenburg monastery are located above the Lahn valley near Bremberg. From the former Benedictine monastery only parts of the choir, the westwork and the side aisles are preserved today. The monastery was founded around 1200 by the count's daughter Gisela von Katzenelnbogen, a niece of Count von Arnstein.
