Very pretty waterfall!! Fairly easy to access

Small town above the lake of the same name, built on a terrace above the Calancasca river. In the village there are still some typical wooden and stone houses, as well as the church of SS. Peter and Anthony Abbot.

Once you arrive in the town it is worth going a little longer to visit the Tower, formerly part of a residential building. One of the testimonies of the ancient life of the Valley.

Pizzo Paglia, with its 2593 meters of height, is the highest peak in the Alto Lario mountains. The summit can be reached via the wild Val Grono or from Italy, passing through the Dosso valley. The panorama at the summit is 360 degrees and particularly interesting towards the east over the Pizzo Campanile, Cavregasco and Ledü group. The difficulty of the itinerary depends greatly on the presence or absence of snow.

The Alp de la Piazza refuge is located in a clearing at 1535 m. Recently renovated from an old mountain pasture, the refuge is not guarded but is accessible. Inside there is a kitchen, a stove, three bunk beds.
