The Tiefenbach waterfall is an artificial waterfall located between Geising and Altenberg. The waterfall is located above Geising on the road to Altenberg at about 660 meters above sea level and was created in 1954. It falls in two stages with a total drop of about 40 meters, separated by a short, flatter section. This makes it one of the highest waterfalls in Saxony. The upper part falls about 15 to 20 meters freely and can be seen from a viewing platform that is accessible from the road on a hiking trail. This Tiefenbach waterfall is a very beautiful natural experience. It is located between Geising and Altenberg, a very nice hiking tour 👌 From the rehabilitation clinic to Geisingberg, into the town of Geising, waterfall, Altenberg mining trail, caterpillar nest, wooden figure trail and back to the rehabilitation clinic. It is about 11.7 kilometers 😏 Great photo opportunity
