Unfortunately, the Amselfallbaude is currently completely surrounded by scaffolding and is permanently closed. The Amselfall is also not accessible at the moment. Unfortunately, nothing has changed in this situation since my last visit in summer 2020. However, the hiking trail between Rathenwalde and Rathen is completely accessible.

Framed by the high rocks, the Grünbach falls a few meters above the Amselsee as the Amselfall. Right next to it you will find the Amselfallbaude. Not only does it provide hungry hikers with food, but also offers an exhibition about the animal and plant world of the national park to those who are thirsty for knowledge.

Here is actually the waterfall. There's not much to see right now. I think the water was dammed up regularly, so that at a certain water level it was emptied with full force as a waterfall.
