The kidnapping of the mayor by French troops in 1806 can be experienced on three relief panels and is located in the local museum at the Mühlentor

The Mühlentor, formerly also known as the Tribseer Tor, is one of the three remaining gates of the fortifications that surrounded the town. It was named after a water mill that used to be located there.

The 14th century town hall with its magnificent stepped gable and arcade testifies to the high class consciousness of the medieval merchants

A beautiful ruin where services are still held today, albeit irregularly. There are many very old gravestones in the churchyard. There are three beautiful, old linden trees to admire and behind the churchyard is a very well-preserved tower mound.

The town hall in Grimmen in Western Pomerania is one of the testimonies of medieval brick Gothic architecture. Dendrochronological examinations of the wooden roof structure determined the felling date of the oldest rafters: 1393. It is therefore assumed that the tree dates from around 1400.

The Mühlentor in Grimmen, also called Tribseer Tor, is an impressive brick gate from around 1325/30. It was once part of the city fortifications and secured the road to Tribsees. Striking plaster panels, a steep gable roof with stepped gables and traces of an earlier drawbridge make it an impressive historical building.
