The unique feature of the Protestant church in Crumstadt is that it was commissioned by Landgrave Georg and completed in 1593. Other Protestant churches were mostly built later. From the outside, the building's two superimposed rows of windows and its symmetrical floor plan, created by the apparent double choir, are striking. Inside is a late Gothic pulpit originally from the Hospital Church, whose relief of St. Boniface deserves special attention. Source: City of Riedstadt

The Crumstadt Local History Museum is located in the town center, directly behind the old town hall, in the former elementary school building. It is housed in two former classrooms on the first floor.

The history of this war memorial – unlike most others of its kind – stretches back further than the two world wars that shook Europe in the first half of the 20th century. This memorial commemorates the victims of the 1870/71 war against the then "arch enemy" France. The victory of the armed forces of the North German Confederation (led by Prussia), with the participation of the South German states, led directly to the founding of the then German Empire under Wilhelm I.

The design of the "war memorial" found here – more recently also called the "fallen war memorial" to further emphasize the character of commemoration of the victims – is simple, but certainly worthy of the occasion: Due to its width, the stone monument on the outer wall of the church suggests something of a wall divided vertically into five panels. The two outer panels contain long lists of – a shockingly large number (!) – names. The middle panel contains a short dedicatory inscription and an image of an oak leaf wreath above it. The memorial is crowned by a reproduction of an "Iron Cross" – also carved in stone, a military insignia of the time.
