Arnside Knott is a serene and scenic location that provides a peaceful escape into nature. Whether you're interested in running, hiking, or simply enjoying the stunning views, Arnside Knott is a great place to explore within the Arnside and Silverdale AONB.

Humphrey Head is a nature reserve and has a prominent position on Morecambe Bay with great views all around.

Great views from here with Morecambe Bay to the west and the peaks of the Lake District to the north.

Arnside Tower was built in the second half of the 15th century. Constructed of limestone rubble, the tower was originally five storeys high, measuring 50 feet by 34 feet.

Spectacular viewpoint out to Morecambe Bay.

No views at the trig point but plenty of great views on the way up.

Arnside Knott is a beautiful area with loads of different paths and trails up to and around it. Lovely circular route along the coast between Arnside & Silverdale but just check the tides before starting as part of it is inaccessible at high tides and part of it needed a bit of scrambling so not suitable for all. We saw a Red Kite hovering above us as we sat on the Knott eating our lunch.

View of the remains of Arnside Tower. Which sits in between Arnside and Silverdale. One of the oldest buildings in the parish and was built to protect the community from invasions from the scots. Also known as Peel/Pele Tower.

This clearing in the woodland leaves a beautiful view and a great spot for lunch.

Arnside knott sits above the village of Arnside and is approached through beautiful woodland. There are many paths and view points where you can see Morecombe Bay and the Lake District.

Arnisde Knott is one of the crowning jewels of the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Natural Beauty. Interestingly, at 522 feet (159 m) it is the lowest of all the 2,011 Marilyn hills, which are defined as UK peaks with a prominence of 492 feet (150 m) or more. It's a great place to spot wildlife. Its mixed woodland and limestone grassland make it a vibrant place, with beautiful butterflies and wildflowers come spring and summer. The views are extensive too, with the Lakeland Fells rising to the north west and the Yorkshire Dales to the east.

The views from the trig pillar of Humphrey Head are fantastic. You can see the Coniston fells clearly, and further to the right you can see the Fairfield range. The views out over Morecambe Bay are equally stunning. I visited at sunset and it was the ideal time to walk this small fell (the smallest of Alfred Wainwright's Outlying Fells of Lakeland).
