The Cistercian Abbey of Marienstatt is a place of pilgrimage directly on the Nister near Hachenburg with its own brewery. Several long-distance hiking trails such as the Westerwald-Steig and the Druidensteig lead past the monastery.

The abbey is a very nice facility. You can stay there well with groups and enjoy delicious brewed beer in the brewery and delicious food.
