작은 마을 치오나는 몬테 산 살바토레 기슭에 위치하며 카로나 지역에 속합니다. 해발 약 600m에 위치한 치오나는 전통적인 티치노의 특색과 루가노 호수의 멋진 전망을 자랑하는 조용하고 거의 숨겨진 듯한 작은 마을입니다. 치오나는 무엇보다 하이킹의 출발점입니다. 이곳에서 몬테 산 살바토레 정상까지 약 1시간이 소요되는 고전적인 루트는 멋진 파노라마 전망을 제공합니다. 도중에 숲, 바위, 작은 예배당을 지나게 됩니다. 파라디소 또는 카로나 방향으로 내려가는 길도 인기가 있습니다. 이곳 자체는 작지만 매력적입니다. 티치노에서 하이커와 휴식을 찾는 사람들에게 진정한 "숨겨진 보석"입니다.

Partially restored and beautifully done, picturesque village. Worth a detour if you're hiking anyway.

The park stretches along the upper slopes of the 835-meter-high Monte Pescia, extending considerably in length and height over approximately 200,000 square meters. It offers a wealth of flowers, shrubs, and trees, as well as a wealth of art objects. In addition, there are repeated magnificent views of Lake Lugano and the opposite mountain ranges to the east, with Monte Generoso as the highest peak. To the west, there are magnificent views of the Valais Alps, including the Monte Rosa massif.

The viewing terrace is located on an extension of the San Salvatore Chapel. It offers magnificent views of Lugano, Lake Lugano, and the surrounding mountains, such as Monte Brè (to the northeast), Monte Generoso (to the east), and Monte San Giorgio (to the south), as well as panoramic views of the Valais Alps to the west, including the striking, expansive Monte Rosa massif, on the border between Italy and Switzerland with its main peak, the Dufourspitze.
