Lake Unteruckersee is a recreational reservoir in Germany, located near the town of Prenzlau, known for its natural beauty, hiking and cycling opportunities, and wildlife viewing, such as cranes.

Picturesque in principle, yes, especially if it's flowering season, but as a cyclist you have to concentrate fully on the poor path. The concrete slabs are awful, and later in the small wood, it's even very steep uphill if you're heading towards Potzlow and have the great viewpoint as your destination. Cars also drive here, and it's very annoying every time you have to stop and get off your bike!

The church was open, but the interior was blocked off by a door, which allowed one to look through and see the altar. Unfortunately, many churches are blocked off, so this one stood out in a positive way. The Uckermark region is very beautiful in general; I hadn't heard of it before.

The Ice Age also left behind a lake with a channel here. The ancient Ukranian people gave the name not only to the Ucker, but also to the two lakes. Thanks to the melting ice, an idyllic spot on earth has been created that invites you to linger.

Right on the bike path, it's worth taking a quick break and jumping into the clear water. If not to splash around, then at least to take a postcard-perfect photo of the Prenzlau skyline.
