The Uags Bothy sits above a small rocky beach with sweeping views of the Inner Sound to Scalpay, Raasay and Skye. It was once part of a small settlement – the ruins are still visible close by. The bothy has two rooms and an attic with another two rooms. It is equipped with a fireplace, tables and benches. Out of the summer months, this location sees few visitors. The trail (if there is one) is hard to follow in places, but some cairns are there to help.

Very nice little restaurant that we loved almost 20 years ago - they still serve delicious food at a fair price in a great setting! Limited opening hours, be sure to check on Google Maps! There are various hiking and walking trails in the area. You can see lots of Galloways and horses, among other things, and deer are also bred here.

Excellent views over the Sound of Raasay and the island of Raasay to the Isle of Skye with the whole of the Cuillin Ridge visible - assuming you can see beyond your own feet.

Excellent views from the summit of Sgurr a'Chorachain. This Corbett summit (792m) is an impressive viewpoint for the cliffs of Coire Bà and Coire a'Chaorachain.

lovely little beach. Like the one further south even more. You can get there via the rocks if the tide is low or via the trail.
