… there is very limited parking space available at this station. Yet it is a very good trailhead to hike Kaitersberg as well as the summits of Hoher Bogen. The Train line RB28 runs here every 120 min from Lam and from Cham

Now with parking management, and in May 2025, at €2/24 hours, it's quite acceptable. Excellent starting point for the Kreuzfelsen and beyond. It has also been expanded and now accommodates significantly more cars on four levels.

Cool spot, be careful when it's wet, otherwise it's really fun and a great photo opportunity. The whole area is really exciting and varied. The nearby Rauchröhren peak (1042m) is unfortunately not accessible to normal hikers.

An absolutely idyllic train station in the middle of nowhere. Perfect for starting many a hike. The climb to the Goldsteig hike to the Großer Arber is worth it...
