The waterfall and the waterfall path are simply great

Breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the valley. A truly royal feeling! 😉 From the complex there is a great view of the Vilstal valley below and the peaks of the Tannheimer group.

The view is sensational

There are plenty of places to stop for a break, and you can take a rest here. An idyllically situated lake with the mountains as a backdrop offers a beautiful view. It's worth seeing.

The Zirmgrat is certainly the most beautiful route to the Falkenstein castle ruins - the highest castle in Germany at 1277 meters. King Ludwig II even wanted to build another fairytale castle on the site, which offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Allgäu Alps and the Alpine foothills. His father Maximilian I had already passed through here on his journey on what is now the "Maximiliansweg" from Lindau to Berchtesgaden. Beautiful alp. Can be reached from Kappel either via the Höllschlucht or the forest path. The latter is also a well-prepared winter hiking trail that is often used for tobogganing. The start of both paths is the small parking lot at the Höllschlucht climbing forest or a larger one at the entrance to Kappel. (coming from Nesselwang)

On the Forggensee circuit, the detour to the Hopfensee is worthwhile. Atmospheric alpine scenery, but there are plenty of them here anyway
