A very beautiful lake. Only one section of the walk around it requires some advanced hiking skills.

Like many undestroyed towns in the Allgäu, simply beautiful.

A worthwhile destination for a tour or a detour off the main route. An old town with historical charm that shines with its well-preserved medieval architecture. The Fünfknopfturm, a landmark of the town and part of the old town fortifications, is worth a look. The narrow streets, the half-timbered houses and the numerous small shops and cafés make exploring the old town of Kaufbeuren a special experience. Recommended.

Kaufbeuren (medieval: Buron) is an independent city in the Bavarian Allgäu region. The former imperial city and today's medium-sized town is the fourth-largest city in the Swabian administrative region with 45,792 inhabitants. Kaufbeuren is completely surrounded by the Ostallgäu district and lies approximately halfway between Munich and Lindau. In 2013, the city was upgraded to a regional center.
