The foundation stone of St. Anne's Church in Gößnitz was laid on May 3, 1491. The baptismal font dates from 1835, and there are numerous tombs on the grounds. PS: Well worth a visit!

During the GDR era, a wooden shelter for hikers was built in the middle of the castle grounds on the castle hill (Lindenberg). The hut was replaced by a new wooden shelter after 1990.
