Wertingen first appeared in a document in 1122. Between 1200 and 1250 Wertingen was provided with a wall, moat and palisade ring and raised to the market. Now I've finally managed to go to Holzen Monastery: A former Benedictine monastery (until secularization). Later run by Franciscan nuns, but they've now left and there's a hotel here. The baroque church is worth seeing. Unfortunately, the beer garden was closed today because of preparations for a private event. I was pretty disappointed in today's heat 🤔
